On-Screen Widgets Die and Chew Up CPU Time

I'm on 14.1.

The behavior is that all of the widgets disappear and then I have a process called Notification ... using 99% CPU. I kill the process and the widgets come back. All fine and good though I have to do this about once a day and it's a bit annoying. Hopes for 14.2.
