iPod touch on-the-go playlist

Anyone else having trouble creating on-the-go playlists? When I have a lot of songs and i try to "add all songs," it doesn't work. But I just tested, and it works with 57 songs. Any ideas?

I suppose I could just go to "songs" and put it on shuffle to play the entire library, but i'm wondering why the playlist isn't working.

I'm having the exact same problem. Adding all songs or all albums doesn't work. I do it, and then the On The Go playlist is still completely empty
