Only my right external speaker is giving out sound. If I cover it up I can't hear anything. Seem the left speaker isn't given out any sound. Could I have a setting wrong? Or is my speaker broken and as a result need a replacement phone?

In an attempt to salvage some use of this thread I'm asking if anyone has noticed how sensitive the speaker is? Maybe its just the design being a bit different but if I'm playing a game in landscape mode it seems my finger has to be just partially blocking the speaker and practically all sound goes. I even tried it on my iPhone 3G and it wasn't as bad. I'm expecting many "Don't hold it that way" responses but I was just wondering really, as some games use fixed angles so it can be annoying.

It is very easy to block the speaker on the iPhone 4. I never noticed the fact only one part was a speaker in the 30 months I had the original iPhone. As soon as I got the iPhone 4 I was wondering why it only came out one side.

I think it is because the iP4 speaker is slightly more recessed. That way you are able to create a more perfect seal.
BTW I like that fact that the speaker and mic have swapped position. It means I don't cover the speaker as much playing landscape games.
