As a cyclist and a devoted madman, I can safely say that really is mad. I need new pants.

Whoa - that was rather crazy. And very cool (except for the Guns'n'Roses soundtrack). A bit different from my daily ride to and from university in Copenhagen - where bikes are the kings of city-traffic.

couriers
i do my fair share of riding through dc mid rush hour... but nothing near as crazy as that... i stop for red lights occasionally

Couriers are nuts.
I've done the 5 Borough Bike Tour the past few years (40 mile loop through NYC where they close the road to cars), and sometimes we ride in Manhattan after the official ride ends. It's a nice rush, even though we were making a point to stop at red lights & crosswalks!

I was amazed at how many people do it the first time I went.
If only there was somthing like this in London- there are lots of Critical Mass rides, but they're really slow and full of hippies, squat-dwellers and soap dodgers (I say this in the most respoectful way).

That's so far from how I ride my bike to and from town that it's mind boggling... those guys are totally insane...
