ONE good thing about the iOS 6 Maps App...

The Auto 3D generated cities are much clearer and cleaner than Google's cities, as seen in iOS Google Earth. The Textures are sharper, and there is far less "extra" mesh clutter in the 3D buildings. Perhaps these 3D city views are one of the least important features from a practical standpoint, but the sure do look amazing. Just a taste of things to come I hope...

I'd throw in the compass icon in the top right corner as another plus.

Ok icon appears now thanks for that. but it is stıill not effective. yesterday it moves when i turn to phone right or left. now there is only an icon at right corner and does not move without turning with two finger..

Click the arrow in the bottom left corner twice.

All of these things I found out by trying, after you wrote your questions. You really should try just to play with the apps.

You say ONE good thing but Turn by Turn is great, Been using it for over a month. Integration with Siri is also very good.

Give it time.

You don't, but often these questions are really easy to answer if people try out things first..

Haven't tried turn by turn yet, will try it out...I guess I titled my post with "ONE" because all of the other reviews had been so negative, and no one was really talking about the 3D aspect...which I think is really great!

i think from the ground up, the vectors make a lot more sense. once this thing gets cranking, it will be a lot faster than google maps, im sure.

Yes, the vectors are already amazingly smooth and quick!

Hit the location button on the bottom left. Either once or twice. It'll activate the compass within the maps app.
