One long audio file into separate tracks

I have a recording of a performance I was in and the recording was put onto a CD in one very long track. I had planned on using iTunes to download the track from the CD, but what would be the best application to use to separate that one track into many different tracks? I have Logic Pro but I don't imagine it's very good for that sort of thing.

Hi,

Logic Pro will be fine for basic editing such as this. Just split the track where you want and save each part as a separate file.
