i am currently using iPhone 7 plus and AW series 3. Both have latest os updates. I have microsoft One Note installed on both. I haven't figured out how to get the notes I want onto my watch. It seems to pick very random notes from my phone app and puts them on the watch. Is there anyway to control this?

I've noticed this as well. I found the following response from Microsoft:

I'm a Product Manager on the OneNote team. I'm sorry for the confusion that our Watch app has caused you - hopefully I can clarify a bit. The watch app will show the 50 most recent notes that you've edited on your iPhone (which you can find if you go to "Recent Notes" on iPhone, above the list of notebooks). Although we don't currently have a way to show only a subset of pages on your watch, if you pin a page to the top of recent notes on your iPhone, it will show up at the top of the list of pages on your watch. Hopefully this workaround will help you quickly find the relevant pages you need on wedding day! With regard to syncing these pages to your watch, if you launch the phone app, wait for it to sync, and then background the app on the phone, the pages on the watch should get updated.

I suppose that makes sense... most of the time I'm just trying to get to my most recent notes. One thing to note: I believe the product manager is incorrect about the "most recent notes you've edited on your iPhone" part. It seems to show me recent notes I've edited from any device... which is a good thing.

Another odd bit of behavior: On my iPhone was signed into my employer provided Office 365 account and the Apple Watch app said I needed to sign into OneNote on my iPhone. I signed into my personal Microsoft account and then it suddenly started to work on the Apple Watch... and includes notes from my Office 365 notebooks (at least from my personal notebooks... I don't recognize anything from my Office 365 Groups).

I stopped using OneNote on my Apple Watch some time ago because it was too slow on my S0. I just upgraded to the S4 so I figured I would give it a try again. I'm not sure how much I will use it. I guess it might be useful for personal notes, but it looks like it probably wouldn't be for work stuff... which is mostly in Office 365 group notebooks.
