Samsung copying apple by removing SD card slot has made me try other android devices. I bought a one plus 13 R (256GB) for $850 CAD ($589 USD). The under screen fingerprint scanner is better than my old Samsung s23 ultra.

Samsung got rid of the SD card slot in the S series back in 2021 so it's not a new thing.

They still have it in some of their mid/lower range models!

Does the OnePlus 13 R have an SD card slot?

Got a notice about a new update for my one plus 13R, comes with the Android April security update.

I'm going to update after lunch.

I have the OP13 (not the R), and it's been the best under display finger sensor I've ever used.

I have an interest in the 13/13R; what is your opinion of the phone, especially the camera?

I may wait for the 14 at this point, but the 13 could be an early gift for a family member.

Thanks

I had the 13 for a few months. I found the phone fantastic. I don’t take many photos with my phone so I’ve never had an issue with a phone camera, all I can say is I found it as good as a 16 pro

Thanks, I appreciate the information. Photos are a secondary function; but the 13 is interesting as it has the Hasselblad camera, which sort of fascinates me at the moment. :)

I have the 13 now it's a fantastic phone really love it I think it's one of the best phones out there right now, I'm looking forward to the 15 coming up it's supposed to be a beast from what I've been reading. Camera wise I think the phone does good in some spots I guess like other phones there are some things that I like more in a Pixel. I think they're going a different route with the camera for the next one and it won't be a collaboration as current.

Thanks @Bkdodger

We are not committed to the 13 and can wait for the next release from OnePlus. I am interested in the OxygenOS, and I need a second phone. I have read there are differences between the images from the 13 and 13R. I suppose that is due to the 13 having the Hasselblad camera.

OS wise excellent experience with plenty of good customization options in this stock settings. They have a lot of good features baked in. I highly recommend the phone. 13r I'm not familiar with but I've heard good things about it also.

I am currently using Cricket (AT&T). OnePlus shows the 13 working on ATT, but I will go to my local Cricket store and verify that the 13 will work on 'Cricket'. Carriers do strange things. :)
