One question about the original iPhone.

Well i recieved my iPhone in the mail, unlocked it, and am now using it with tmobile. I need to get unlimited data because i dont have it. When connected to wifi, does the iphone also use the network? I was just wondering cuz i am connected to my home wifi and checked the weather, and when i looked in usage, it said i had sent and recieved 4kb.

does it use the mobile network no but the 4kb is probably just the phone finding the network

I don't think it does. It should only be using your local wifi network.
