One small annoyance so far.. USB related

I have a logitech usb wireless trackball. It works great, however when I close the computer and it sleeps overnight, when I re open it, the trackball is unresponsive, so I have to unplug and re insert the wireless usb receiver. Is there any way around this?

Otherwise so far I love this machine and definitely think I made the correct choice :)
