an added awesome benefit of the 3GS being faster: the ipod function is the best yet...everything loads so damn fast, changing songs is instantaneous, and everything is just much more cohesive, imo.

Anyone agree?
 
I agree but the speed has been mentioned ever since people started getting them in their hands.
 
I found that on my 3G it took a while to start the ipod from the double click on the home button ~6 seconds. With the 3GS it took less than a second to start the ipod from the double click on the lock screen.

i tested this out on a 3GS and a 3G and after getting a song on both to play at the exact same time, when i switched to a different song (at the same time) the 3G took a second longer to load the same song
 
not that its faster in general, but that the iPod (music) part of it is so much better. all i've been hearing till now is about apps and the internet speed.
