DOSHA WAS HIT by a car near her owner’s home on April 15. Next, a police officer shot her in the head to put her out of her misery. Then, presumed dead, she was put in a freezer at an animal control center.
Two hours later, when a veterinarian opened the door to the freezer, she was shocked to find Dosha, a 10-month-old of mixed-breeding, standing upright in a plastic orange bag — the equivalent of a human body bag.

Really amazing story. The freezer probably helped the slow the bleeding from the gunshot wound and keep her alive. I bet that cop feels very bad for shooting her.

I would call that a dog with 9 lives. Great story, gives a heartwarming feeling! It's lucky that the police officer missed his shot. I hope that the dog is being well cared for now! :)

Unreal story. Nice to see a happy ending to an otherwise very sad story. I read that they were thinking of arresting the owner for not having the dog on a chain. I think the cop probably did the right thing after looking at the situation, God just did not want that little pup to die ;)

yeah i saw this article...almost didn't believe it...did the bullet not go through his brain?? you'd think after a bullet wound his head would be mangled

I thought they used glocks...
9mm I think...

Amasing story... pretty intresting.

Glocks are weak! I bet a round from one wouldn't even penetrate my thick skull (no, i'm not willing to bet on it).

Police officers can select from a number of guns, but the glock comes in a variety of calibers all the way up to .45 caliber, which is as strong as pistols get before stepping up to the .50 caliber break-your-wrist desert eagle. And no I am not a gun freak, in fact I am anti-gun, but I just play way too much Counter-Strike...
