one username thinks word is classic

I have a odd problem. I can launch word just fine on my username on the iMac (intel). On my girlfriends login it says its a classic app. How do I fix this.

What version of Word is it? Is it the same for other Office apps?

Press + i on the word app, you may then find a tick box that says "open with classic", if it's ticked, un-tick it
