onedrive uploading to icloud

I have quite a large onedrive, 130GB of it, mostly provide for by work. I also pay apple myself for 50gb of iCloud storage, mostly for backing up my photos and stuff from my iPhone and iPad. I am now trailing Sierra and have found that I can choose which files in my documents are uploaded. So it is failing to upload 80Gb of onedrive and another 60gb of a windows VM, neither of which I want on my iCloud. I can probably move the virtual machine somewhere, but I cannot move onedrive. Can anyone advise on how to stop these folders being uploaded?
