Whilst I'm here in Australia I am on a broadband download cap of 30GB. I normally use about 10GB of this per month.

I am just about to buy a PS3 and will want to game online with it.

Does anyone know what ball-park figures we are talking about when it comes to data upload and downloads whilst gaming online?

Thanks,

MadDoc,

im not sure as i dont game online but Internode has uncapped data on their gaming servers. other ISPs might have this but i just signed up to get away fom Telstra and sign up for ADSL2+ and noticed it.

Unless you are downloading Games and Demo with you PS3. Multiplayer matches will not consume 20GB.

Online gaming (e.g. playing a multiplayer match, voice chat) uses surprisingly little bandwidth, so I wouldn't worry about your download cap based on that even if you play it a lot.

Maps, expansions and other downloads are the things you want to watch out for.

I have a 40gb cap on my plan. I game online, download a few demos and map packs each month, etc. and have never even come close to reaching it.
