Just a quick question for anyone that lives in Canada, i was wondering if when you order online you save any taxes? Im in Quebec and i was wondering if i buy it online will i have to pay both federal and provincial taxes?
Thank you in advance :)

i know macmall offers rebates or whatever it doesn't charge tax or something is there an equivalent in canada?

Don't know how it works in Canada, but in the States, an online retailer generally does not have to collect state sales tax from a sale if it doesn't have a physical business presence in said state.

For example, if I order something off Amazon and have it shipped to Michigan, they don't charge sales tax. However, having that same item shipped to Kentucky will incur 6% sales tax, as Amazon has a major distribution warehouse in Kentucky.

Also if the store you buy from has an affiliate program they have to charge taxes if your state requires it.
