Some people care who don't live close to a store that will carry them and/or want to make sure they get the particular model they want.

You don't live near a bestbuy, target, walmart, verizon, at&t, apple store? :eek:

the news item is really a non-story. 12:00am or 1:00am, its not really a big deal is it?

I never said I didn't live near a bb,target,walmart if you read my post again.
 
Living near a Verizon or ATT store is not helpful if you only want a wifi model. But who doesn't live near a Wal-Mart?
 
It would be cool if apple allowed pre-ordering for in store pick up at the same time as the online ordering begins. It would he things so much easier for all those that are going to the apple store

And re-read mine ;)

does an hour difference really matter? Buy it online if you wish, or head out to your local bestbuy/walmart/verizon/att/target store if you want to go the retail route.
