online store closed again?

A little bit of here and a little bit of there.
So I have been getting the "we'll be back soon" message for over 20 minutes now.

I was trying to reorder for like 30 minutes before that, but it kept going slowly and timing out. Is anyone else getting that the store is closed? it appears that ppl are still buying them as per the official preorder thread.
 
i was in the site pre-ordering but I have a FAN so something got messed up. It just kept clocking and clocking... kept re-trying, clocking clocking clocking.

I have this email of a salesgirl at ATT and emailed her this morn in re: to white and she actually replied already. Told me I have to come see her in the store to pre-order since i have a FAN. i do not trust but i might end up doing that on my lunch break. SO FRUSTRATING.

oh and she said no white until after 7/4 but i don't believe her.
 
They are currently taking the black iPhone down and putting the white up. Every 3 hours it will be switching in order to keep consumers on their toes.

Please stop posting incorrect information. This has NOTHING to do with having a FAN account.

I don't know why people are posting their order went through now unless they did it through att.

Apple store still closed. I don't like how the att site had the suggested plan wrong - the apple site had it correct. So I'm still up, waiting for the apple site to come back.

Hasn't worked for over an hour now. I managed to pass eligibility and got all the way to the "add to cart" page (4 times) but it would bomb after that. Someone said that pick up from store was working but not delivery just before the store went down.

I havent done any of the preordering yet since Im holding out for the white...but just in case it does come up later. What eligibility do u mean? Do I need my att acct number or anything? Or is it just put in my CC# and reserve it? (Im on a family plan)

Yeah the upgrade eligibility.
Apple asks for your wireless number, billing zip, and last four of SS# (the primary acct holders)
 
Just thought I would mention that the Apple Site is working for UK and Japan.

It looks like someone tripped over a cable here in the US :eek:

wow i got to checkout 3 times with crashing.. How long is the store going to be down for ? I hope they Turing on some more servers..
 
WOw this is crazy. I am on about my 20th attempt to order this damn phone. Either immediately get the store is down message, or get thru the flow and it eventually fails. Wow this is getting annoying.
 
Now when I try to just call apple on the 800-MY-Apple line I keep getting, this call cannot be completed as dialed, even once I have already started the call.
