Only Able to Connect One Way

I have a 24" iMac, and a G4 Cube connected by ethernet to an Airport Extreme N Base Station, and a MacBook connected by Airport. I can see the Cube from the iMac and vice versa, and I can see the iMac and Cube from the MacBook, but I can't see the MacBook from either desktop. All are running 10.4.9. Any suggestions?

Is Personal File Sharing ticked on the MacBook, grandpa?

In "System Preferences>Sharing>Fire Wall (tab)>Personal File Sharing>Advanced>Enable Stealth Mode". Is that checkbox ticked? If it is, un-tick it.

You did this on the MacBook, right?



Also try this:
In the Finder hit command+K, type in the MacBook's IP and hit connect. Does it connect?

Funnily enough it does, and now the MacBook has suddenly appeared in the Network. Dunno why I didn't think of that. I wonder why it happened?
