My non-Airplay Sony Bravia will load every thing except Apple TV content.

I’m using Air Screen to mirror my iPad to my TV.

I get this error:

“there’s a problem loading this content”

Any ideas?

What TV do you have?

It supports Airplay, Airplay 2?

There are often two ways to airplay content from an IOS device.

1. Screen mirroring. Mirror the entire screen to the TV

2. In-App mirroring. Some apps will have an option where you can select an airplay device.

What apps have you tried, using both options?

I have a slightly older Sony xbr55x900f with no AirPlay support. Unfortunately Sony deemed it too old to even support it with the AppleTV app.

I’ve tried both options. With just screen mirroring, the device doesn’t even show up.

I’m using an app called AirScreen which appears to mirror properly as I connect the Sony TV as an AirPlay device. It plays YouTube videos just fine.

It’s only when I launch AppleTV on my iPad Air 4, that I get the message that there’s a problem loading the content.

you could also get the iPad to HDMI adapter
That’s a thought. Although if it’s DRM issue, I wonder if it’ll still be blocked.

I have no practical experience with this but it can work if Apple implemented HDCP properly: The HDMI input of 99.99 % of all TVs support HDCP.
