Only getting a sad mac :(

I have a PB 5300cs and it would only give me a "?" so then i put in a disk to boot from. It didn't recognize the hard drive. So I restarted and now all I get is the sad mac face and the annoying sound. What should I do. It runs system 7.5.2

Can you still boot with the CD (or floppy)?

If so, boot with CD and run HD checks. Format HD if it's ok and reinstall system.

Can't boot from disk anymore. Even when I could I didn't see any option to format. It didn't look like it could even see the hd.

Sometimes the sad mac displays numbers, if you take it to the right Apple repair center they can sometimes tell what the numbers mean under the sad mac. It seems your HD is most likely in Florida on a vacation, I hope you have backed up. time to visit a repair shop.
