My 2011 Apple Cinema Display was starting going to black after it got warmed up and I took it in to the Apple Store and they fixed it off warranty, which was nice of them since all of the major components had basically failed. Well, I paid for the cheapest of the three parts they replaced, which... the whole repair would have been more than the monitor new!

Problem is, it seems like they only attached one speaker when they put it back together. I did not complain at the time since they did me right, but now that I have a nMP... it's driving me crazy. It's half as loud with no bass.

How easy is it to get inside this monitor and root around and see if its something as simple as they just missed a connection or something.

Basically, it worked fine before repair, and has been like this since I got it back. A few months have passed, so, I kinda missed on the opportunity to claim this is something they did, and besides, I was pretty happy at the time that they dealt with the major issue, which was the display.

EDIT: ok, I found this:

I don't have the Thunderbolt display, but this looks close enough.

EDIT: yep, simple disconnection. Easy fix. $1.88 for a suction cup from Lowe's.
