Hi all,
I have a USB hub connected to my Airport Extreme. Connected to that hub are two USB external drives. One is a Western Digital "My Book" 320 GB and another is an ACOMData 250 GB drive.
The Airport Extreme sees them no problem, and manually connecting / mounting to them is not an issue. File transfers are fine (if slow.)
HOWEVER, when I boot my Mac Pro, the Acom drive "auto-mounts", that is, I can see it on my desktop immediately at boot. However, the WD My Book does not. I need to go into the finder, connect to the Airport, then choose to mount the disk. Only then will it show on the desktop. I note that I can select the ACOM share and tell it NOT to auto-connect; but I cannot seem to do the converse (selecting the My Book, once mounted, does NOT give me an option to auto-connect.)
Any clues?
thanks in advance.
