HomePod Only one user has Apple Music

If I turn on voice recognition, can people without an Apple Music subscription still use the one linked to my account?

I have a family plan but haven’t added them to it for reasons.

Yes. Turning on voice recognition will just prevent that music that others choose will influence your personal listening history and suggestions from Siri. Plus they won't be able to let Siri read your messages and other private stuff, but they can still play any song they like.

You can turn off "Update Listening History" on the Homepod so music choices won't influence your Apple Music account.
