Only partial email displayed on watch

Is there a way to see an entire email on the watch? I use the Gmail app for work and Mailbox for home. With Gmail, I can see the subject and the first few lines, and with Mailbox I just see the subject in my notifications. If I tap on them, I see the same thing in a slightly different view. Am I missing something? I don't need to respond to emails from the watch, but I'd like to see the full text of those I receive. Any thoughts?

I have been able to see most everything with Outlook.

I can see everything with email from the regular mail app on the phone.

Having the exact same problem with my email on my watch. Have an open ticket with apple on it and they haven't figured it out yet. I have three email accounts, one gmail and two exchange and they all have the same problem.
