Only use some F-keys as standard keys

I need to use function keys F1-F5 for shortcuts in several apps. For that reason I checked the option "Use all f1 f2 etc. keys as standard function keys" in the system preferences. Unfortunately, that way I also lost the ability to use the music control and volume control keys (F7-F12).

Is there a way I can regain the functionality of those keys, while still using the first half of the function keys as standard function keys?
