onOne Perfect Layers for image stacking?

Has anyone had any experience using the onOne Perfect Layers tool for image stacking from within Aperture?

I'm interested in finding a tool that allows me to layer stacked images for both exposure blending, and focus stacking for macro photography. the onOne suite includes Perfect Layers which seems to fit the bill - but would like to hear a few real world critiques before laying down ym hard earned $.
