Hi, I was wanting to be able to type some things in the Cyrillic alphabet, does anyone know if there is an onscreen keyboard that would let me do this built into OS X, I am running 10.6, or a free/cheap program that will give me one?

Go into System Preferences>Language & Text>Input Sources. Tick the Keyboard & Character Viewer. This will put it in the Menubar. Click on it and choose Show Character Viewer. The Cyrillic alphabet is in the European Scripts list.

Seconding this, except for the onscreen keyboard you need the Keyboard Viewer, not the Character Viewer.
