I accidentally tapped "never for this site" when asked if I wanted the device to remember a password. How can I get it to offer to remember the password and username again? I already tried clearing tried autofill data.

After clearing the autofill data, have you tried turning Autofill off, closing all tabs in Safari, restarting the iPad, turning Autofill on again, and then revisiting the website?
