Hi!

Does anyone has any idea what graphics chips present in the Macs can take advantage of the upcoming Open CL in 10.6?

I have a iMac with a Radeon 2600HD chip, and wonder if performance will be boosted. How about the chips in the current unibody MacBooks?

I'm pretty sure any Intel Mac can take advantage of OpenCL. I could be wrong though so someone correct me if I am.

Yes Open CL will work on your card.

To take advantage of Open CL you will need a video card with stream processors. At least thats what ive read. My X1600 apparently wont be able to do so but yours will.

There's an article on MacOSRumors about this. Note that their reliability track record isn't all that great, but it's an interesting read nonetheless. Link
