Hi all,
I have setup Open Directory on a OS X Server (El Capitan). I have a Linux server running Samba that is successfully bound to OD. I also have a OS X Client bound to OD. Login authentication is working.
I can login to the Linux server and OS X Client using a network login I created in OD.
I can also mount Samba shares from the Linux server onto the OS X client.
I can login to the Linux server as the network user, change password, and the password is updated in LDAP and Samba. Ie, I can log back into OS X Client and access the Samba share with the new password.
But if I change the password from the OS X Client, the password only gets changed in LDAP. The Samba password remains the same.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I think this might be a slapd.conf file item, but I just don't know Open Directory well enough.
Thanks.
