This has been puzzling me for the whole week.

All of a sudden, I've noticed the Apple on the gray open firmware screen is really big. It looks like it's in 800x600 or something, because it's also quite blurry as opposed to the standard, small, crisp Apple I used to have when it was booting in 1024x768....at least that's my theory.

Ok, so after the gray OF screen is done, the blue screen comes on, then here comes the important part:

The screen goes BLACK for about 2 seconds, then flicks back on that the Mac OS X Loading screen comes on. JUST LIKE it would do if you changed resolutions yourself. Then, the desktop launches (in 1024x768, because it must have changed when it went black).

This is driving me crazy and I must fix it.

I've Repaired Permissions, Reset-all in OF, and I'm about to try zapping the PRAM in a second.

Any other advice/help? :( :( :(

EDIT:

Good bye, PRAM, hello right resolution while booting. Zapping the PRAM WORKED!

New question: Was is zapping the PRAM or NVRAM that erases the screen spanning hack? Does reset-all in OF erase the hack too? If so I guess I have to reinstall it.

Can anyone answer that, I don't have a spare monitor handy right now to see if I still have it installed/working properly.
