Anyone still have a copy of OF-Pong?

Seems to have been lost to time and the internet.

Remember when they said everything posted on the internet would last forever?

It will last until the servers go away.

I can't answer that, but considering the amount of software that runs directly from open firmware can probably be counted on one hand, every bit helps!
Well, OF is, by definition, a firmware environment.

You can do a lot in that context, way more than you could ever do with Bios, because you have a command line and a higher level Forth interpreter.

I often muse myself by thinking one day, when I know how to use the Forth like a Sith overlord should, I'll write a small OS that can browse primitive HTTP pages, do primitive email, and use a primitive text editor, and maybe add a tokenizer.

That's the basic building blocks of anyone building a full featured OS on top of Open Firmware, without a lot of overhead or abstraction.

Tho it would be fundamentally insecure with it running this way.
