I know the Mac opens the webpage but I have had to click to get it to open fullscreen.
Anyway to get this to happen automatically?

Is there a setting. Seems I can still see the webpage background and I'd rather see the whole internet.
It not just for safari but other apps as well.

System Preferences > General > Uncheck "Close windows when quitting an application".

This worked for me with Safari because I had it in full screen mode last time I used the application
