Is there a way to open the Calendar app but it not actually open up the calendar screen - the GUI? I mean I want it to be in the state its in just after I click the red circle at the top left...so it just has the dot under it in the dock. Is this making sense?

Ideally I'd like to do this on startup, I thought adding it to my login items and clicking the "hide" box would do it...but that doesn't work - it just opens like normal.

Ideas? I'm running ML, with a SSD, Mid-2009 MBP.

got it to work...had to use tinkertool. Not sure why a third party app was required to do it...

Just a suggestion...

If you feel this issue is solved, it is a courtesy (seldom followed) to put "Resolved" in your title, so others know not to bother looking at your thread.

You do this by clicking "Edit" in your first post (Post# 1), and then look up to your title. Just to the left of the title, you'll see "Prefix"...click on that and the drop down will say "Resolved". Click on that and "Resolved" will appear in your title.

Just a suggestion, assuming you feel you problem is solved...:D
