Hi all,
the 'verify file' stuff MYOB are starting to do is concerning me... what does it mean? Are they going to end up charging per file? Why can't we just own our software and have as many files as we like? And... if I didn't 'subscribe' to an upgrade next year, does it mean they'd stop me accessing my files?
Anyway, it started me wondering why I'm paying $450 a year in Australia to have basic book-keeping software, especially when I don't really NEED to have MYOB generate my tax tables for me... the government have these very easy to read tax papers.
So... is anyone aware of a basic MYOBish open source software package that may have come out recently? I kinda looked a bit a while back, but there wasn't much then.
