Just wondering if there are any news in regards to video converters that use OpenCL and/or Grand Central Dispatch?!

Cheers

I'm also curious if any programs will see the day of light or not?

We have the technology and drivers (nVidia CUDA) but everything stopped is in place by whom?

It seems that all those video converters rely on same open source encoders that are muli-platform and don't support platform specific features. Just sad to have all the performance an can't really use it :(

Haven't really heard any news on ANY program that uses OpenCL or GCD in any meaningful way. Nothing that would be considered a showpiece for the tech or anything like that. I've heard plenty of reasons from devs behind video software on why it would be pointless to support it, but that's about it...

Nothing out there that could act as a showpiece for this tech?

Not that I'm aware of. I know one app on Win/PC called badaboomit that uses CUDA and even on an old PC the results are somewhat impressive. Must be a wonderful app if it would run on my new MBP ;)
