Today I got curious and opened the AirPort Utility for the very first time.
I got a message mentioning the update settings...
Did the fact that I opened the utility somehow changed the update settings? I see the default is to check weekly:
Was that the default setting even before I opened the utility? In other words, is everything still fine, and it was checking weekly for updates anyways? I'm a little skeptical about opening utilities, because I don't want to mess up my mac :p

If the Airport Utility software needs updating, just like Software Update, it'll tell you.

If the software does need updating - just do it! :)

I would like to know: What was the default update setting? (before I opened the utility), Was it set to "enabled" and to check "weekly"?

I don't have/use any AirPort routers/ Time Machine. Just the normal wireless internet for my MacBook Pro (if that has anything to do with it).

Right now I disabled updates for airport utility, but if the default was "enabled", I'll just re-enable them.

Whenever the general "Software Update..." runs, does it also include smaller updates for utilities like AirPort Utility anyways?

Thanks! :)
