EDIT: Sorry i meant to say 10.6.5

Hey guys, will Apple finally, FINALLY (!), update the OpenGL in 10.6.5 to the latest version?

Anyone know? It's really a drag how slow they are with updating the OpenGL.

I doubt it very much - they've failed to update so far with past releases so I am wondering whether 10.7 will mark the move to 4.x territory with the culling off of Intel GPU powered MacBooks.

Why, what's the issue updating it to 4.x finally? Is it really difficult to do?

And didn't they say 10.6.5 would fix 3d issues? Could OpenGL 4.x be part of it?

We're going to get full support for 3.0 and its updates before we get 4.0 support.

Wow this sucks. Why would they still mess around with 3.x when being so late already? It's OpenGL 4.1 by now, so why not go straight to that.
