Hey all,

I have a question about OpenGL ES. Since I currently know close to nothing about OpenGL, I downloaded the Crash Landing demo to use as a starting point. Though I'm starting to grasp the fundamentals of OpenGL (with the help of the internet and books), I've encountered a weird color issue. While tinkering with the code, I replaced their existing space background with a much simpler background (simply a light grey gradient). When I run the program, the gradient appears very banded as if a lot of colors were stripped from the image.

I'm wondering if Apple, for some reason, restricted the number of colors used by the Crash Landing app. Is that even possible? Or is this maybe an OpenGL blending issue or something else altogether? My image does not look banded in Photoshop and actually uses only around 150 colors.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
