Say for example I have Microsoft Word already running on my Mac with two Word documents (say Doc1 and Doc2) open. I go to Finder and click to open another Word Document Doc3. It opens but opens behind the Doc 1 and Doc 2 windows. It's a similar scenario with Preview and other apps.

Why is this and how can I get newly opened files to open as the active window?

Thanks!

Which exact MS Office / Word and Mac OS X version do you use?
MS Office 2008 had some bugs with open documents and Spaces for a while, but it seems to have been solved with an update or ten from MS.

I'm using MS Office 2011 on Snow Leopard OSX 10.6.8
