Opening a TXT file redirects me to MediaConvert

When I try to open a TXT file from my iCloud/Documents folder via the FILES app on iPhone (iOS 17), it redirects me to a MediaConverter page of (unhelpful) conversion options (screenshot below).

I can't remember why I loaded MediaConverter. But it seems to be a well-rated app, and useful for other things, so I'd like to change this annoying behavior without trashing the app. Suggestions?

There’s currently no way to manually select default file type/extension and app associations in iOS/iPadOS. However, the Share sheet can be a roundabout/shoe horn.
