I have previously used the Broderbund CreateAcard program on a PC and need to now try to open a file with the .biz extension (business card) on the PrintMaster Platinum that is now installed on a new iMac. I was told that PrintMaster would probably be able to read this particular file. Does anyone have a clue if this will work or not? Thanks!

This is a test that you will have to do. Print Master for Windows supports files with the .biz extension. However, there is no guarantee that the Windows and Mac versions of Print Master support the same file types. My personal experience with the last MacOS 9 version of Bröderbund's Print Shop was that the Mac application's file type was unique. FWIW, MacKiev's port of Bröderbund's Print Shop for Mac is incompatible with the Bröderbund's MacOS 9 version. Make no mistake. Print Master and Print Shop are different apps. However, my experience with Print Shop leads me to doubt that compatibility among its apps is a concern with Bröderbund.
