Opening applications in external monitor?

So I've just got Adobe CS5, how do I get the application to open on to my external monitor? Including the top status bar?

The 13" air is obv very small to work on..

If this helps, I've got a late 2010 13 1.86 Air, external monitor is Asus V236H,
latest OS..

Sorry for the ignorance, new to macs and I tried Mroogle, no cigar.
