opening KMZ files

Hi
I do a lot of road cycling and download KMZ files for planned bike rides.
I would like to open these (download them) on my iPhone so I don't have to carry paper maps and so I can use a GPS program.

Is this possible and what program would be a good idea: google earth or motionx-gps?

AFAIK MotionX lets you send KMZ files from your phone after you've been on a route. I don't think you can load them in advance.
