I was browsing Netflix movies within Safari. You can do much more robust searches than within the Netflix app, which--I don't know why--allows searches only on movie titles.

For the heck of it, I clicked play on one of the movies within Safari, and it opened up in the Netflix app.

Anyone else notice this?

The Safari browser version of Netflicks requires the Microsoft Silverlight plugin to be installed (which is not possible) for it to play videos, so that is why it is re-directed to the App, which I believe uses h.264 codec to play back movies.

I understand the silverlight thing. It only seemed remarkable to because on my iPhone you get an error msg if you click on play in Safari.
