When I open the lid it feels really easy to open for about a 1/4 inch and then you feel more tension to fully open. Is this normal or should there be tension from the closed position?

Anybody find that when they put their MBA down, with the lid open, that the lid opens further, going all the way down. Like when you put it down quite quickly, and that little force or draught or whatever causes to push the lid down further

Should I be worried?

Use one finger to open and close the lids of Apple laptops. That is all that is needed.

On mine, opening it just feels like the screen itself 'wobbles', before the hinge actually catches the resistance when being opened the rest of the way.

Either way, I don't see what the deal is.

Sounds to me like gravity or momentum is doing its thing. I wouldn't worry.

if it bothers you take it to apple and ask them if they would tighten the hinge. They might do that for you real quick. it doesnt hurt to ask.
