People,

I'm having issues with my g3 iMac, it won't start, and I think it might be down to the power supply.

So I've opened it up, taken off the base and now I am stuck on how to get anyone of it off, anyone help?

Steve

Check out the Apple Service Manuals on THIS site. They should come in handy, and thats what I used to take apart my iMac to replace the hard drive and get access to the motherboard to overclock it. Good luck!

Awesome that worked a treat!

Now I just have to get testing the power to see where it's dead.... got the 3 volt LED on the board on so I have got some power at least!

Update

hhhhmm I've opened it up and done some electrical trouble shooting and basically although I have power I am about 30% down on what I need. For example the hard drive is getting 9v instead of 12v which means it won't spin up..... I've connected it to a windows box and given it 12v and off it goes.

Fuse is OK.... I have reset the PMU

Anyone know why this could be/ got a bright idea?
