Hi,

Can anyone advise how to go about successfully installing OpenOffice.org on an a Mac using OS X Tiger.

I think that X11 needs to be either enabled or installed but i'm not sure how to go about doing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
Kind Regards.

Hi, Thank you. I'd downloaded X11 but think that it's an incompatible version. Shall check disc # 1 as you'd suggested.

Best Regards.

OOo requires X11 to be installed. I personally use NeoOffice, which is a port of OOo that runs natively on OS X. Works great for me!

Hi, Thank you for that. Much appreciated. Think i'd read a little about neooffice but couldn't remember what this particular office suite was called. Regarding running natively on OS X is this better than running via X11?.

Shall download neoffice.org straight away.

Best Regards.
