Ok we all know that opera mine for ios is dam fast when you have a very week connection. I was wondering when tethering to your computer is there any software that can give you the same compression of data the opera does on the phone.

I don't think so but you may be better of asking this is the Mac Software section as you are asking about software for your computer.

Opera on the desktop is a great browser and Opera Turbo uses the same technology as opera mini.

I really wish Opera continued their development of their iOS app. It really had a lot of promise. It seems like they were discouraged by the initial negative reactions and just let it die though.
